Taumarunui’s Art Deco Cinema
Opened on 21 March 1935, the Regent Cinema retains the classic style and timeless charm of its era.
In April 2016, the cinema underwent a digital projection upgrade. Among the first films screened digitally was Hunt for the Wilderpeople, which played to a full house of 330.
Screenings mainly take place during school holidays and feature a variety of films suitable for all ages.
